Time Deposits
These higher-interest instruments with maturities varying from one week to five years may be denominated in US dollars or other currencies. Depending on the maturity period, interests may be paid monthly, quarterly, annually or at maturity. Interests of foreign currency time deposits are paid in the same currency of the account or in US dollars, depending on the currency.
The minimum amount to open a time deposit in US dollars is $10,000.00 and in Euros is €10,000.00. For more information on minimum amounts for time deposits in other currencies the client can contact the Bank
Although a majority of the time deposits has a fixed rate, the Bank also can open indexed time deposits, according to the clients’ needs.
